#1 – The Term Chiropractic Originates From Greek Words

The term chiropractic is a combination of two Greek words: cheir, meaning hand and praktos meaning done. We think that’s very appropriate.

 

#2 – 1895 The Start Of Chiropractic

DD Palmer, regarded as the father of Chiropractic, is credited as delivering the first chiropractic adjustment in 1895. He went on to establish the first chiropractic school in Davenport, Iowa in 1897.

 

#3 – Chiropractors Must Complete An Approved Chiropractic Degree

To practice in the UK, a chiropractor must undergo a 4 or 5 year Master of Chiropractic degree at an accredited university. After qualifying, chiropractors must keep their knowledge and skills up to date, with ongoing education and training.
