Vitamin C is a vital vitamin to have within your diet. It plays a role in building collagen in the body and can reduce the chances of you catching a cold.

Lemons are a sunshine fruit packed with Vitamin C, holding a whopping third of the daily-recommended value. They have lots of flavour and the juice of an entire lemon only has 12 calories. Lemons are also an antioxidant, which could help decrease heart disease and fight some cancers.

Warm lemon water in the morning is a fantastic way to get this vitamin into your body. Simply squeeze half a lemon into a mug of warm water and drink it first thing when you wake up. You can also add the zest of a lemon into salad and pasta dishes.
