The spookiest night of the year is just around the corner, but it could be a Halloween of Horrors for a very different reason if you don’t protect your back!
Here our London chiropractor shares three top tips on keeping the monster of back pain at bay this Halloween.
Wear the Correct Shoes
Whether you go “trick or treating” with the kids or you’re the one donning fancy dress for a Halloween bash, make sure you choose sensible footwear!
Be Careful with Your Load
Try not to carry too many items when you’re shopping for Halloween decorations or props (Those pumpkins are seriously heavy!). You can equalise the load on your back by distributing the weight evenly on both sides of your body. If your goods seem too heavy to safely manage, ask for help or make more than one trip.
Keep Up With Your Exercise
With the colder nights and shorter days drawing in, it can be tempting to slack off on keeping fit. But don’t! Regular exercise (even during the winter) is one of the best ways to build strong back muscles and prevent back pain.
