Keep Your Back Safe Watching the Olympics

Up to 80% of people will experience back pain at some point during their lives, but did you know that something as simple as watching television can be seriously bad news for your back?

According to our London chiropractor, slouching in front of the TV can lead to chronic spine problems; so if you’re planning on spending hours on end watching the Winter Olympics, spare a thought for your back!

It’s important to remember your posture and not to slump. Try to sit as straight as possible when you’re watching TV and take regular breaks. Get up, move around and keep those muscles active! Drinking plenty of water will also help to reduce the risk of inflammation.

Remember that your spine wasn’t designed for long periods of sitting and inactivity – no matter how gripping the Winter Olympics may be!
