Top Tips on Reducing Joint Pain

Your joints are amazing! Every day they connect your bones, support your weight and facilitate the incredible power of movement!  But they also endure a large amount of stress, which means they’re inevitably prone to a degree of wear and tear and sometimes pain.  Here our London chiropractor reveals three effective DIY tips for reducing joint-related aches and pains.

1:Ice therapy

Cold temperatures can help reduce blood flow, and subsequently reduce tissue swelling. Remember never to place ice directly on to the skin.

2. Hydrotherapy

Warm water can help ease pressure on joints and muscles. If you’re experiencing joint pain, try soaking in a warm bath. Massaging the affected area can also help to stimulate blood flow.

3. Exercise

Exercise may be the last thing you feel like doing if you’re suffering with painful joints, but low impact exercises can increase the strength and flexibility of your joints and help reduce the risk of future pain.

Give your joints some TLC. After all, they do so much for your body!
