Will You Get On Your Bike For Bike Week 2018?

Cycling is becoming increasingly popular with the streets of central London full of cyclists every day. If you haven’t got on your bike yet then Bike Week which takes place from 9th – 17th June could be a time to do so.

Cycling UK organises Bike Week every year to promote cycling. Its aim is to encourage people to take up cycling and make it a part of their daily lives. It also highlights the benefits of cycling which include social, health and environmental benefits.

There are many events planned throughout London and you can find one near you on the Bike Week website.

As chiropractors we encourage everyone to take regular exercise and cycling is undoubtedly a great way to get active. Of course not everyone wants to cycle on the busy roads in Central London, however, we do have many wonderful parks that offer the opportunity to get those legs pumping. The Royal Parks offer great routes that take cyclists away from the traffic and allow cyclists to take in some of the most beautiful areas of London.

In Regent’s Park you can join groups that cycle around the Outer Circle. Many cyclists use the Outer Circle in the morning as a circuit. Here is a link to an article about it.
